Air Wet Mortars are basically produced by blending well sized fine grains of calcined kaolin, bauxite and alumina, blended with th proper amounts of a chemical bond and water.
Air Wet Mortars have many advantages:
1- High degree of workability.
2-Low drying firing shrinkage.
3-High drying and firing strength.
4-Minimum permeability of air and other gases from the ambient to kiln atmosphere and VS.
5-High resistance to the attack of flame and slags as well as spalling of the brick network.
Air Wet Mortars joints show outstanding performance in all back and face lining of boilers, ceramic kilns and rotary kilns as well as iron and steel ladles, flues and stacks.
